Bobcat Launches Remote Troubleshooting Features
Enhancing hotspot fleet management capabilities by allowing both owners and hosts to Reboot, Reset, Resync, and Fastsync remotely
Bobcat users can now access Reboot, Reset, Resync, and Fastsync for all their Bobcat miners from anywhere in the world. A huge step for the Bobber App's hotspot fleet management capabilities, this remote feature now gives hotspot owners and their assigned hosts the ability to monitor and troubleshoot their miners anywhere, anytime.
The Reboot, Reset, Resync, and Fastsync features on the Bobcat diagnoser have proven to be some of the most useful features for Bobbers who are experiencing technical issues with their hotspots. These features used to only be available locally where users could troubleshoot only if they were on the same LAN as the hotspot. The community's passionate feedback has given us yet another opportunity to learn and improve, and thanks to our Bobbers, now Bobcat owners can easily manage multiple hotspots and even fleets via our App.
These remote features can be accessed through the web dashboard widget on the Bobber App's home screen.
NOTE: Once a user has registered on the Bobber App, the web dashboard can be accessed either through this widget or on a desktop by visiting bobber.cloud. The login credentials for the desktop view are the same as your Bobber App login.
When entering the web dashboard, users need to select "Gateways" from the menu located at the top left side of your screen. Select the “+” dropdown option on the left of the hotspot name and scroll down until you see the blue buttons titled Reboot, Reset, Resync, and Fast Sync.
IMPORTANT: The features are not set to run right away and you will be prompted by a screen informing you that the command will execute in approximately 30 minutes.
Once you select "OK", a small red dot will appear at the top right of the feature button you selected. This indicates the feature is scheduled and now all you have to do is wait. Users do have the option to cancel the command and can do so by selecting the cancel button that will appear at the bottom right.
NOTE: You will know the command has been executed once the cancel button is no longer displayed on the screen.
